Pillow Talk

Before Jacob went to bed tonight I gave him some tylenol for a little fever & to hopefully help him sleep even though his head is full of congestion. He told me that it wasn't working yet (about 45 seconds later) & I told him it would kick in soon. Somehow the conversation changed to maybe being a doctor when he grew up & he could study all about medicine. We went thru several other possible occupations when he went back & said that he had decided & doctor it would be. He said, "But mom when I grow up & be a doctor I won't live at this house anymore." I acted surprised, "No? where will you live?"
J: "Momma, I will have to live at the doctors office or hospital" (very cute how he pronounces hospital:)

We continued our conversation. He told me about the checkups he would give, how I could come for a check up if my throat was hurting etc. After a couple of minutes he said, "Well, Mom I could come live at your house on Sundays."
It was my time to give the reality check. I said, "Well that would be fine honey but you may have a wife & little boys & girls of your own & you will live with them."
"But Mom we could ALL live here with you."
Just a little pillow talk that I didn't want to forget before I "jotted" it down!

For AuNt StEpH

Aunt Steph told me today that she needed a quick fix when she had a study break, her precious nephews that is.....

Aunt Steph, this pic is actually a couple of weeks old but when Inman saw the pics from that day he said, "hello Aunt Steph." He still says he thinks Logan looks a lot like your baby pictures minus the eye color, of course.

This is Jacob (chair to the left of the track) playing it cool as his car races in his first derby on Sunday even though he was about to wet his pants because he was SO excited!

Look @ Logan as he eats his first biter biscuit. He thought he was really getting away with something!

Logan caught red handed eating his first cheerios (off the floor!)

Was that a good break Aunt Steph? We are proud of you & all of your hard work especially these last couple of weeks! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, one more month of grad school!
These boys love you A LOT! (& I do too!)

Not really hijacked....

Following the last post, I wasn't really hijacked. Although, it would seem like that since I haven't done a good job updating this last week. I did have a great birthday & will post pics later from that. About 12 hours after the last candle was blown out, I got pretty sick & have not been among the land of the living since. Thanks to everyone who came to our rescue! Below are some pictures of Easter.

Nana & Logan

I love the look on Logan's face, like "what is going on here?"

This is the kind of quality picture you get while you take it from laying down on the sofa

And this is a good picture because you can't tell that even though Jacob's pants were long enough the week prior to Easter, they aren't long enough the morning of Easter. And. I. couldn't. have. cared. less!
Hope everyone had a great Easter!
He is risen!
"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." (Eph 3:17-19)

A couple of weeks old but the brothers on St Patty's

They look like they are scheming before going to church

Don't worry, Jacob has not strangled him yet.
Look @ that look on Logan's face....

Logan's first time swinging at the park. Jacob was SO excited that Logan got to swing & that he got to push him the first time.
